Are you a commercial or residentialy located property?
– Go to the appropriate tab on our home page for your location and browse your options.

Are you looking at a one off clean up or a long term solution to waste management?
– One off cleans are generally best suited to an Open Top Jumbo hire so go to this page for your region for more information.

– Long term solutions are waste volume dependant so decide if a wheelie bin or a skip is best suited to your requirements and go to that specific page.

At any time feel free to contact your local branch and our customer service staff will assist you to make the correct decisions for your specific situation.

What can I do with large amounts of garden waste that won’t fit in a wheelie bin?

Open Top Jumbo Skips

What can’t go in my skip?

No liquids (including wet paint in tins), hazardous, explosive or illegal substances. Most other products are acceptable but we do ask you to separate metals, recyclables and hardfill as much as possible. If unsure, please ask when booking.

How much does a skip cost?

It depends on location and length of hire. Please talk to your local branch to determine the best option for you.

What if I haven’t finished with my skip on my booked finish day?

When you book a skip only pre-book a finish if you are 100% sure of it happening on that day. We would prefer you to ring and book the finish when you are certain you require it. That way there is no pressure on you and we can collect it when you are ready.

When and how do I pay for my skip?

Account holders will be invoiced at the end of the month and this will be due on the 20th of the following month. Some customers find it convenient to set up a direct debit for these monthly bills. For casual hires we will charge the credit card you provide to us at the time of booking once the hire is completed.

How much weight can I put in my skip?

Up to 5.5 Tonne

How high can I fill a skip?

No waste materials should be over the top edge of the skip.

The more notice we have the more guarantees we can give you for service but normally a day or two is sufficient.

Will it fit in my driveway?

If your driveway is relatively flat, 3m wide and has no overhanging trees or wires then it should be okay. If in any doubt please let staff in your local branch know when booking so we can come and do a site inspection first.

Will I need council approval to leave it on the street of kerbside?

Yes - In most areas a council permit is required if placing it on council/public property. Please contact your council before making a booking to ensure you have your permit in time.

How long can I keep the skip?

Your skip is on a hire charge so you can keep it as long as you like, we just adjust the hire charges accordingly. We do try and get an indication of expected length of hire when you first book so we can ensure you are getting the best rates.

Front Lift Skip Bins

What size skip do I need?

This is volume and waste type dependant. The larger the skip, the cheaper it becomes per cubic metre but you won’t want food scraps sitting in a skip for weeks waiting to fill it to capacity so need to take this into consideration when making your decision. You also need to ensure you have room for the skip and the skip truck to access it – a smaller skip does not necessarily mean a smaller truck.

Do I have room for a skip?

You need to ensure you have room not only for the skip placement but for the truck to safely access, empty the skip and depart from the site. You will require at least 3.5m width with no overhanging wires, balconies or trees. If in any doubt talk to the staff at your local branch and they can give you skip dimensions and maybe arrange a site visit first. Remember we do have 1.1m skips on wheels that can assist for sites less accessible.

What can’t go in my skip?

Only compactible items may be placed in these skips. No liquids (including wet paint in tins), hazardous, explosive or illegal substances. Our open top jumbo skips can be used for non-compactible items.
